What happened here?
I encountered the same problem. If you are already know solution or reason why it happens, I would be appreciate if you share it with me.
it’s hard to tell by just looking at this cropped screenshot or without knowing what the model looked like before you removed doubles. if you have a vert count of 12 remove doubles probably worked as expected.
I had the same problem. Selecting two edges did not work. Later ended up selecting set of two vertices at a time to merge them manually over entire object.
I forgot that the Micheal would ask us to reduce the vertices as much as possible and last week I did a video on how I solved this challenge in another lecture. I saw this post and thought that this would help if you were all were still having trouble understanding.
I recorded this 2 days ago to share rather then show screenshots which kinda to me don’t really explain much. Hope this video helps. Going to post it elsewhere for others who might have struggled with this lesson.
