Hi everyone! I was wondering if you would be willing to offer some advice!
I am finally re-entering course land, wading back into essential topics I “saved for later.” In this instance, the topic I chose was lighting, as I remembered that Gamedev.tv had a great lighting course way back when called Unity Tech Art: Lighting For Game Development.
As I had purchased the course through Udemy in advance, I just started it today and noticed… it is no longer available for purchase anywhere, and does not even show as archived on Gamedev.tv’s own platform. I still have access to it, but now I’m stressed. XD Is it outdated? Should I find an alternative?
All I have found so far in terms of alternatives is Unity Learn’s Creative Core: Lighting course, and some obscure “Lighting for Unity” course by Pete Jepson (who I’ve never heard of).
If anyone has any advice on how to address this essential part of gamedev education, I would be extremely grateful. I am working in HDRP, and lighting has been a challenge that I was hoping to address through trusted education (I trust Gamedev.tv way more than anywhere else, honestly).
Thank you for taking the time to read this; I welcome your advice!
