Hey, when I use the subdivision modifier I can only see the new mesh geometry after applying the modifier. Whereas in the tutorial it appears while tweaking with the modifier. Any idea how i could fix this, I use the blender 2.9 LTS. Thanks in advance.

It’s better to provide a screenshot also, use MAIN MENU > WINDOW > Save Screenshot
If you APPLY a modifier, it is unrecoverable.
Only session UNDO or a backup.
All MODIFIERS have visibility options, probably you turned some of them off.
