Finally finished project boost, I really enjoyed it! Got to admit that understanding the math for the code took me about a month but im pretty sure im 50% there . Creating the teaser video was an interesting experience since I’ve never done video editing before. I didn’t get it under 20 seconds but I spent a week on it and I just decided to rather move on and take it as a learning experience for next time
I have to say that all the time you spent truly showed, this clip is excellent, imagine how many more new things you can create as you improve each day. Unfortunately I cannot play the game right now to give feedback, but it seems very good. Keep it up!
Your game looks great, controls are tight, I won’t be giving anymore feedback than that since you already said you want to keep moving forward, but maybe as a challenge, you could add a Lives system so the game doesn’t reset every time the player dies.
I definitely would like to revisit Project Boost at some point, I’ve been back and forth doing the course while also separately doing school work. So to prevent burnout, I just decided to take Ben’s advice to move on and come back when i feel more experienced with Unity but if you have any thoughts please let me know, I’ll take them down as notes moving forward (also thanks for the feedback you already put out, much appreciated!).
