Racing game unreal engine 4 tutorial

I would really want to see a tutorial on how to create a basic racing game on UE4 on udemy it would be a honor if Ben Tristem and Michael Bridges could work together to make this happen, and hopefully the community is on my side to make this project happen as well. What would I want to see? Well…

  • Driving physics (Being able to move a vehicle with realistic feedback)
  • Suspension, Brakes, engine horsepower, weight of the vehicle… important elements to define the end result of your cars handling and performance
  • Being Able to change and customize different parts of your vehicle (How to change the wheels, bumpers, spoilers, exhaust…)
  • Realistic Damage models for the vehicles
  • Realistic Paint for the vehicles
  • Unique Sound for each individual vehicle (EX: Turbo sounds)
  • Drift setup
  • Vehicle HUD (showing your vehicles speed)
  • Automatic and Manuel options for each vehicle (Personal preference for the player)

I think it would be a great idea. Also would not hurt to learn how to set up the position of the racers since it is an important feature to have in a race. Maybe some optional features like nitro boost setup like those seen in older racing games…AI would also be a thing to consider

I like this idea - not because of it being a racing game (not usually something I’m interested in) but learning how to apply decals (damage), changing up skins, HUDs, tons of physics (driving, collisions, explosions, etc). Lots to learn that is applicable to multiple game genres.
