Question about drawing guide-lines

I find it very difficult to use guide-lines when I’m drawing. Whenever I feel ready to make harder strokes, I can never seem to match the guide-lines I’ve drawn. I understand that these are guides and not supposed to match 100% but sometimes my strokes are way off.

Any advice?

The only real advice i have here is just practice.
My guidelines are usually off as well but i just keep trying to get them right.
