So, to make a brighter color we would shift our pallet closer to yellow and make it closer to blue if we up to cooler color… But what if my base color was picked exactly at the yellow/blue section? How should I shift the color band in that case?
Do you have a screenshot you can post to give a visual as to where the colour is you have picked.
It may be a case of adjust other aspects to get the effect you are looking for.
This is an example of what I’m refering to, in such cases how should I make a brighter/darker color?

If i am understanding correctly then the screenshot below should help.
The lines are draw at different positions of the dot in the color palette next to my cursor in the bottom right.
Its a very fine tune movement as the further you go the more the colour changes and in the case of the yellow it starts to become a brown.
