Pure Nodes Mayhem?

Hi all,

So, the very first character I got to kill jumped backwards and disaapeared through the wall :rofl:, it was hilarious. Anywayz, after I stopped laughing I wondered, that probably wouldn’t be as funny to someone playing the game, is there any way to stop that from occurring and/or is that addressed somewhere in this course. I am sure it’s easy, but, my mind can’t cope with much more that I already am, not the sharpest tool in the shed.

That is not done, no. You would need to create a physics asset for the skeletal mesh. In code where you disable collision on the capsule, on the mesh, change the collision profile to “Ragdoll” and simulate physics.

I think you would need to set a timer to get it working with the animation. So you would play the animation and then set a timer (e.g. 0.3s) to do the ragdoll stuff.

Whoa! That is way above my paygrade - I’ll think I’ll leave it as it - at least for the time being.

I have been trying to play around with the Physics Asset and the only thing I could really do was create a RagDoll animation (and one that I couldn’t delete the space at the beginning) whist trying the hit the simulate button. The screenshot you had was nothing like I had. So, is this what the Physics Asset is designed for?
