Pro's & Con's to animations compared to the oscillating script?

Hi there, Was just wondering what the Pro’s and Con’s of using an animation in unity would be compared to the script we write for the oscillating movement.

One thing I’ve noticed is that you can do a lot more movements with the animation but not sure if it takes more to run a animation then the code.

Hi,

In the animation, we probably have to design our animation curve ourselves, which might be less precise than simply using a script. Apart from that, the animation could be less performant as various objects are involved such as the animator and the animation. That’s something you would have to check in the Profiler, though.
