I’m going to use this post as a way to track my progress with this particular level, its a leviathan skull for my desert map.
This is the first stage, ive used basic unity cubes to map out what I would like the level to look like, my next step will be adjusting what I’ve got to greybox the actual level design itself. My goal here is to treat this as the first level that introduces a challenge, forcing the player to be more risky.

Next, I threw in some greybox grey boxes (hah) and playtested until I was happy with the level design:
Next I started piecing together cubes to make the actual skull in a way that matches the level design:
I don’t particularly like the way the top part of the skull turned out, so I may go back and fix it up a little, but the level works and I’m happy to start some minor decorations and tweaks!
