Problems with parenting to bones in Blender 2.8

I’m having an issue with Blender moving my model to position the origin at the tail of the parent bone when I try to parent my head to the bone.

Before parenting

after parenting ([Ctrl]+[P] --> Bone)

  • I get the same issue when I try using relative parenting.
  • All transform data has been properly applied.

Any suggestions for fixing this?

I’m so stupid I amaze even my self…

I forgot to check the operator panel for a “Keep Transform” option!
