Hay, im doing the spin and on the connection i have a black strip that wont go away, anyone know the prob?

Odds are that black line is your original curve object.
Full screenshots might help see something.

This can be done by Blender itself, via the ‘Window’ menu bar top left hand side.
On that menu drop down is ‘save screenshot’.
