Problem with saving variables

I have a problem with the variables of a blueprint class and its instances. The class is based on a cpp class and every time i exit the editor and reopen the project the variables of the cpp parent class are gone frome the inspector, and when i recompile live coding they are there again but reset. Any help would be apraciated so i can go on with the course.

Have you seen the lecture on Live Coding?

Yes but closing unreal and recompiling from vs code didnt solve the issue.

And have you tried disabling it?

No, i will try it, but i cant wait 40-200s every time make a change so i cant disable it permanently.

You can still compile with Unreal open with Live Coding disabled. You’ll just be using the old HotReload system.

Takes very long and doesnt solve the problem. Is there any way to restore saves or lost data?

Autosaves should be in your Saved folder.
