Problem with Gamedev.TV Course UI

I noticed there’s been some updates to the videoplayer.

Since this update the completed lectures now longer update and course lectures that I’ve watched remain constantly as “unwatched”. It’s only mildly annoying but the satisfying “completed” percent doesn’t increase and also it doesn’t save my place.

Is there a fix for this? To the best of my knowledge I’ve made no setting changes on my end.

If you use an AdBlocker or VPN (or any sort of plugin that might change things) try to disable them and see if that fixes things. I’ve had website issues (in general) over the years …and it usually was AdGuard (my ad blocker) that was messing things up

Hello!

I’m not using any Adblockers or VPNs. This issue just appeared after the UI update. Lectures I’ve watched beforehand appear as “viewed” normally. Also other sites such as Google or Youtube show my visited links as “viewed” normally. I also have cookies enabled for Gamedev.TV

Does this happen on all browsers & systems (ios/mac/win/android)? Also, does this happen on all courses or just this one?

If it’s not an Adblock/plugin issue - try a fresh install of a new browser (ex: edge/firefox - one that you don’t use that often) and see if you have the same issues there. It might be a cookies / cached data issue.

Hi! I installed Firefox and on Firefox it remembered a video that I had watched after I watched in FF. I’ve so far used Chrome to watch GD.tv content. As I said lectures which I’ve watched previously are marked as watched but at some point the “watched” tag has stopped functioning. When looking at FF it also remembers the lectures that I’ve watched with chrome.

So it would seem that the GD.tv UI doesn’t get a “completed” message from my Chrome browser. Switching back to Chrome it now shows the lecture I watched with FF as completed.

Perhaps this is a chrome issue after all. Maybe there’s a privacy setting that’s toggled
