Problem with applying the rotation

I created my lampshade in a different direction first and then rotated it. But when I apply the rotation now, it becomes like the last picture. Is the only way that I can solve this by converting the curve to mesh?

It is strange, but probably because it is already linked to a bone or armature…?

No, actually I didn’t link it to anything yet :thinking:

Maybe because your screw is on the X-ax. And you rotated before this APPLY scale rotation to the Y-ax.

go in edit mode and fix things.

I applied the rotation to the curve first. And then I readded the screw modifier.

I would also go to edit mode of the curve, rotate it 90 degrees, and change the axis to Y.
