Posing the mech (3:50)

During this section of the course, 03:15 minute, its shown that by selecting the mech head + weapon – you can easily rotate it around Z-axis. Though – when trying to do the same, the mirror modifier messes everything up. What am I doing wrong? During these steps there are no mentions about applying the modifier or any potential issues like these.

I suspect the pivot point is the root of the problem. Are you set to the 3D cursor like in the lecture?
I can only make it happen with the pivot point set to an empty.

Thank you! I guess the problem was that I have to select the empty as well, when doing the rotation.
And in the instruction video – it was easy to miss that empty selection. All resolved! :slight_smile:
