Portfolio Review Request (Unity Programmer)

Hello!

I’m a Unity programmer currently looking for work, ideally in games, but I’m also open to other roles as long as they involve graphics, front-end, 3D, or interactive work.

I built this portfolio a bit for fun and also in hopes of getting some attention from the right people. I’d really appreciate any feedback on what I could improve, especially if there’s anything that might help me get interviews.

Also, I haven’t had anyone other than me looking at this, so I’d deeply appreciate any feedback on bugs, rough edges, or usability issues.

Thank you very much!

Great and fun website/game. A very creative take on a familiar theme. Perhaps also a reference to GitHub, GitLab so people can assess your code quality and skills.

Your pong paddle sometimes makes the ball strut in the wrong direction.
Good luck!

Thank you for the feedback! I’ll definitely add a GitHub link, a couple of people have mentioned that now so it’s clearly something I’ve overlooked.

And thanks for spotting the paddle bug, can you be a bit more specific on how it happens, it’s supposedly just lerping an angle between left and right side, not doing actual reflection. I’ll try and figure it out.

If you happen to have any thoughts on the portfolio content itself, especially the work/project section, I’d love to hear them, but no worries at all if not.

Portfolio is good, but what people want you know is what part or task, or skill did you used on those projects. The situation, your task at moment, the actions you undertook and the results. Software development is more that just coding, but you probably already know that.

Have fun!

Thanks again! Yeah, someone else also gave me very similar feedback. I think I’ve been assuming people would infer a lot more from the projects than they actually do. I’ll definitely spend some time expanding the project descriptions with more technical context and details about my specific contributions.
