Player rolling on itself

Hi there, when I press the RUN button, player moves left and right correctly. But instead of using the RUN animation, it rolls on itself.

I have no console errors, and I am tried using the offical Lecture Project Changes to make sure, there is no mistakes on the script.

With the same result. I am using another sprites assets (just did the classic Mario nes sprites for testing purposes.

Any clues or where to look?

have you checked the freeze rotation on the Z in player Rigidbody
