Pixel Art Scene

A small pixel art scene, I wanted to play with UV and a different style.
The mushrooms, log, ground and grass patches are made in Blender.
I’m using a custom shader but I didn’t use Blender to render, I used Unity since I have far more experience on it.

The scene sure could look a lot better with some volumetric lightning, unfortunately I have not a single clue onto how to achieve that.

This looks really nice! I feel like I stepped into fairyland. It would be nice to see a critter around too. Maybe a rabbit, standing on its hind legs, trying to catch a pixie?

Really nice scene there @Yee. The simplest way to do volumetrics is to add a primitive (either a cube or sphere works good) and scale it up so that it surrounds your entire scene (including the camera). then replace the Principled BSDF with a Principled Volume.

Here is what I used for the volumetrics in my week 28 collab project

@Alexandra_Ispas That’s a great idea, maybe I’ll put something like that.

@Capricas_Kirito Thanks for the amazing tip! Unfortunately I’m using Unity to render the scene and Blender shaders do not import to Unity, it would just import a cube covering my whole scene, I’m also using Unity because I’m testing styles for a game I’m making.

@Rick_Davidson mentions volumetrics in one of the Argon Assault Videos if you have access to the Complete Unity Developer 3D course

Thanks! I’ll check that out!

Updated now with your suggestion… probably not what you had in mind tho

Rofl that’s nothing like what I envisioned, but I like it, it’s funny. Good job!
