Pioneer Delta design ideas

Wow, I really wish I’d seen the ideas here before I put them in my game idea in the last video! Anyway, here’s what I’ve got when I try to break it down as much as possible:

Features in order of importance:

  1. A boosting ship.
  2. Obstacles. (Honestly, I couldn’t decide which should be 2 and which should be 3, so this order is kinda arbitrary since one is pretty useless without the other.)
  3. Collision detection.
  4. A start and finish.
  5. Level progression.
  6. Style. (i.e.: Obstacles and backgrounds that fit together stylistically.)
  7. Aesthetics (i.e.: GOOD LOOKING ship, obstacles, and backgrounds.)
  8. Scoring.
  9. Fuel mechanic.
  10. Power-ups.
  11. Weapons
  12. Destroyable obstacles.
