Title: Picnic Panic
Theme: Picnic & dessert
Story: Defend your picnic of delicious desserts from an army of invading ants.
Art: Picnic & dessert themed. Voxel art with a soft/cutesy/pastel vibe.
Player Experience: I want players to feel strategic and tactical, but I also want to add a little silliness and whimsy. It is kind of a silly premise, after all.
Core Mechanic: Place dessert-themed towers to stop ants from reaching the picnic. Towers cost sugar to build. When the sugar runs out, or if ants reach the picnic, the game ends.
Specs:
- Mac/PC/Linux
- Mouse Input
- HD Aspect Ratio (16:9)
Stretch Goals:
- All the ones mentioned in the lesson
- Sugar is gained when ants are destroyed, so more towers can be placed
- Towers can be moved at a cost of sugar
- Different kinds of towers: close range, long range, different projectiles
- IOS port with touch input (I’d ideally like to make this for smart phones, since I’d like to learn eventually how to make phone apps specifically)
