Periscope . . . different approach

Hi . . . I practiced deleting faces and then rebuilding faces to get the wedge and then realized I could do it (for myself) more efficiently.

I made three cubes and then stacked them. I saw that the unit size was two so I set the x and y locations to zero and then made sure they were set (z axis) 2 units apart to verify they were perfectly lined up and not overlapping. I then deleted the very top face and the very bottom face. I then selected 2 vertices on front side (hit merge), then the back side (hit merge) and the top was made. I did the same for the bottom . . . reversing how I merged the vertices. I then selected all three cubes, joined them and made sure they were placed at the right place. It appears to be ok . . . yes?
