Pen tool configuration

Hello,

Could you help me to figure out how to configure the pen tool so it draws only the color I picked without gradients?
If I move the mouse from the top left corner to the bottom right, I will have a line not only with black but also with gray colors in it.
What I want is to have only black color.

sorry for the late reply, you could change to the Pencil tool, that should give you a consistent on/off color
