Parenting issue in pose mode

Hi,

I am struggling to overcome this issue many faced in this section but still could not overcome the issue even after reading several posts about this issue. I’ve parented everything to the bones but when I try to rotate upper arm in pose mode it is still acting like it is not parented to the bone.

Could you please have a look at this file and tell me what I am missing?
https://drive.google.com/file/d/133HScuB3PP-eVA3zG06nfzI6bDnteGIg/view?usp=sharing

I am not sure if sharing a google drive file is a common thing to do but I’ve seen Marc mentioned such a solution on Udemy Q/A section so it made sense for me to share it.

Thanks in advance.

It works fine for me.

I only tidied up the origin point of that upper arm to be at the empty’s location, afterwards as it looked odd with the parenting relationship line rotating. But it worked from straight download.

Same result here, it is parented properly and rotates fine for me.

Select the arm (orange yellow).
Then select then bones (armature), (orange yellow). The arm is now orange.
Then go into POSE mode.
Select only the upper arm bone (now lig
ht blue).
Using parenting to the bone.

I know your feelings, it’s magic when it works.
It is because you have less experience with Blender workings.
So it’s easy to miss things or just activation the wrong properties.
With more practice it will be less problematic.
Have fun!
