I was working along the video so I ended up making a coffee cup instead of a weapon for the challenge, but here is the challenge anyway. I’ve tried different outline types for this. The object doesn’t have any different colored pieces, still, I made the colored one slightly changing according to the light. Not sure if it works or not.
