Lol damn, you really have to earn the right to texture paint your projects eh. Looking forward to trying my hand at it soon!
Here’s my Orc with 4k Normal and Cavity maps. Took a little bit of experimenting and studying to figure out how to remove all the artifacts, but it turned out good and learned a lot about different baking techniques. Only had a slight problem with the cavity map, there are a few very small artifacts that I can’t seem to resolve but they are barely noticeable, thankfully.
This was a somewhat tedious part of character creation. I’ve already had to jump back and forth between all the steps to readjust things, like certain UV sizes etc. But it’s already becoming clear how it gets much easier once you understand it and become confident in it. Just takes that experience eh. Still tedious though… Luckily I have a relatively fast PC so baking 4k maps is pretty quick.
