This lecture is an important concept lecture. I am glad you brought the ideas of how to start a game design and two of the philosophies on how to go about it. Great insight!
I am including an Onion Design for this topic of my potential game. It is really only what you are discussing and presenting but with my intent and view as to how to go about it. I did this as the challenge and then compared it to what you show at the end of the lecture. Mine is slightly different as I broke one of your layers down into 2 levels in the onion design. It probably is only one level but I perceived it as being two different things when I drew it up.
