Well, that was irritating.
Every platform I had previously set up and tuned the timing of in the editor just went back to MoveDistance:100. It’s great news because it forced me to go back through and make the timing even better but definitely not something I’d want to do by accident if I’m on a deadline. What happened?

I went back and feel like I understood it this time.
tl;dr
The live coding operation occasionally bugs and losses this data. Close the editor without saving and build (ctrl-shft-b) from VS Code.
