I am a sound designer and electronic music producer, and I would like to get some experience with game sound design.
I will only be taking on one project at a time, but it’s not first in first served. I’ll decide based on a few factors which I’m not really sure about…
That’s basically it. Please reply or private message me and we can discuss it further.
That’s a really great offer @Jamesfractal, and I’m sure there are lots of people here would would benefit from your experience / skills / talents in anything they are working on.
It would be great if you could perhaps let us know which of the games (I’m thinking the mini-games from the course at the time of writing) feature some of your work so that we can listen to it / enjoy it etc
I have only just started the course and haven’t made anything myself yet. I’m working on the Text101 game at the moment so I’m not very far into it. As I progress through the course I can definitely share what I design for my own work.
This is my first step into game sound design and I was hoping there would be someone who might have finished the course and wanted some sounds for their own project.
I can share the music I make. It’s psychedelic oriented music so while not related to games, I think a lot of the sound design is very interesting and similar sounds could easily be transferred into games. Here’s a soundcloud link - Fractaleyes
As there are a number of games within the course the great thing is there is potential for your offer to be applied to a few games!
Text101 may be a little simplistic perhaps but I suppose some background music and some sound effects when making guesses, different for higher / lower / win / lose etc… pop an image in of some old wizard / mage and maybe something mystical would suit - but hey, your the music guy, this isn’t my forte!
Block Breaker is a game which would really benefit from some good audio, and I’m sure the games that follow also
