Object Disappears

I have an issue with the block breaker section in the unity 2D course. I was wondering if anyone knows how to solve it.

My paddle disappears off the screen when I have tried to move it with my mouse position. I can see the ‘x’ value of the paddle changing as I move my mouse left and right, but the paddle does not seem to exist anymore upon playing.

So this one stumped me for a bit cuz i had the same problem. just change the camera z position to -1 instead of zero. the point here is that the camera has to be behind the canvas.
