I am not expert with this, but I confess that I have used the smart unwrapping at some point to find out where I could be missing a seam or two by comparing the stretching of my own cuts with the suggested ones. (On an object copy, to be able to add and remove seams and compare easily).
Ok … Sounds like a good idea … Ill try itot with some copies
I am guessing this is a small detail on your figure? So you can probably get away with it. Or use smart uv unwrap. I suspect to make it better you ned to cut out the eyes, nostrils and also make a seam so they can open our more flat. Possible cut off the teeth as well. Depends how good you want it.
Looking at this, it looks like you already took care of the critical parts quite well. I would say that it will depend on the texture and how visible it will be, too. Maybe a bit around the eyes and nose could be good to cut.
Ok … Thanks …
