Not clear or possibly changed assigning of objects to bones in Blender 2.81

In videos 123 and 124 the assigngment of lamp arms to bones happens in Object mode with just “click object”->“click bone”->ctrl+p->bone.
In my case this didn’t work correctly. All the arms were assigned to one and the same bone. If I then change the parent of the object to the right one, it is moved weirdly perpendicular to the bone and also away from it. No matter how I apply the transforms it happens like that.

However, if I switch to the Pose mode, choose the right bone and the right object in the Outliner, click ctrl+p, then everything is assigned correctly without any weird shifts or rotations.
