Not a bunny I’d approach without caution

I feel like I must explain the rabbit’s “ears”. I had sketched normal ears originally, but decided to remake them and, having selected the wrong brush, I pulled something resembling a horn. I liked the result and went ahead with it.

I used only a side reference for sculpting the rabbit. Not knowing rabbits well enough, its front legs ended up being too separated. Lesson learned here: don’t skimp on references.

I experimented with a touch of emissive shaders for the leaves. It didn’t work very well.

As for the environment, my original intent was to embed the strange rabbit in amber, but I quickly found out that creating the material is way beyond my skills. I settled for a glass-like cube, whose outcome I quite like, especially the reflections. I suspect it may have contributed to the high amount of fireflies, though.
