Normal map shading smooth looks weird

This is when I shade it smooth.

This is when I shade it flat.

The seams are not good on either.

Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

Was the high poly smooth shaded, well LP too when baking?
Have you checked the faces are all the right way round?
How good is the topology?

General Q&A note
Please give full screenshots with any questions. With the relevant panels open.
Also include the lecture time that is relevant to the problem/issue.
This can be done by Blender itself, via the ‘Window’ menu bar top left hand side. On that menu drop down is ‘save screenshot’.
Close ups where they help.

I shaded them both smooth when I baked and I think my topology is good.

But I have a hole at the bottom because no ones going to see it in my game.

As I was replying I tryed to bake again with the same settings I used before and it has worked somehow. The only difference was that after I it baked a setting on the image texture changed from generated to single image.

I looked at my past bakes on the Ork and they also were set to Single Image. But if you set it to that manually before you bake it doesn’t work properly. I have had this problem before but I can’t remember how I fixed it or what the problem was.

I tryed baking again and I have the same result(the working result). Then I set single image back to generated and baked and it also worked. But it didn’t change to single image this time. When I change it to singe image I get the same bad result.

Do you have any idea what the problem was?

Great that you seem to have solved it yourself.

Perhaps someone else has come across this. It’s not anything I recall ever being touched. Just left at default.
