Solved: leaving this here for the next person this happens to. In the following lecture, Grant points out that the shaders may be hidden and you can just press the “Home” key to frame them in the editor. It works for all the new shaders, seemingly.
Original post: I noticed that the “Material Output” and “Principled BSDF” nodes are not automatically created in Blender 3.2 while in the Shader Editor, when pressing “New”.
They are, however, set up correctly when using the Material properties.
Am I doing something wrong or is that just the way Blender 3.2 is set up?
