Node Group

I tried to give the node group control of the colour and rotation of the Brushed Metal Shader instead of creating more than one shader.

Are there any disadvantages to this approach?

A disadvantage of doing it this way, is that you can’t just drag-and-drop the material from the asset library. I really can’t think of any other disadvantages.

You can in 4.1. I don’t about earlier versions though.

Oh, Sorry about that. It doesn’t look like I finished my thought. I was talking about the fact that you would have to adjust the color to get it to look like the metal you want it to.
