Hi @tvance929, I don’t have a 3d printer but I am here to learn modelling in Blender for that purpose, although it is just fun to model as well.
It seems like your preferences change depending on which slicer software you use? Depending on your axis and so one, however it looks like it is also easy to rotate and move things in some software used pre-printing. How does blender go for you?
