New Input System vs Old System

So I just finished the 2d gamedev course and built what was in it, there new input system was used, but when i moved on to the 3d gamedev course, it’s based on the old version of input system, what is preferred, can i use the new input system in the 3d gamedev course?

When Gary and Rick created the 3D course, the new input system was still relatively new, and many people prefer(red) the old one because it is so simple and works “out of the box”.

Nevertheless, please feel free to apply your knowledge in your projects for the 3D course. Unlike other people, you are not a beginner anymore.
