I had actually done this a lecture or 2 ago, but I found myself thinking that it looked off. Then I grabbed a belt and realized that I had modeled the buckle backwards. So this is a friendly reminder to remember your reference material.
Went ahead and fixed my issue and broke my buckle into 2 pieces. Render below:
