The Visual Studio Installer has the option to install the .NET Core 3.1 Runtime (LTS) SDK in the Individual Components section (see pic). Calling this a question as I wanted confirmation that I could use this instead of downloading direct from MS. Thanks
It’s always been there, just for some reason Unreal doesn’t find it. Unless things have changed recently installing through there won’t work.

Yes it doesn’t look like it’s added as a Path variable installing this way. Trying to access via cmd doesn’t work, though the install folders are there. I went ahead and downloaded from MS and now I can start a C++ object no problem.
