Hi there. I am making my first prototype in Unity. It’s an endless game where the rock goes down the slope. My tile prefabs are tilted at 45 degrees, but somehow it’s not giving the feeling that we are going down the slope. Please suggest how I can do this?
I’m still learning and experimenting, so even small tips would be super helpful.

I think there’re at least two things you could do to improve the feeling a bit;
- Point the camera directly forward. Your camera seems angled at the same 45 degree angle, which completely removes any ‘downhill’ perception because there are no point of reference (see point 2). In other words, don’t look down the slope
- Add elements around the slope that will provide a reference. Without a reference, there is no up or down. When scuba divers lose orientation and they don’t know where up is, they find references like looking at the bubbles from the respirator to show them where up is, or feel their natural buoyancy. You need to give the player something that they know is level, in order for them to understand (and feel) that the slope is angled down
