Need help: UE5 project browser crashing, so cannot even make my first project

Hello, I am currently trying to dive into the world of Unreal Engine, but cannot even make a project to start with. Currently, I have three version of Unreal Engine: 5.4.3, 5.3.2, and 5.2.1. When I start them at the Epic Games Launcher and go to Unreal Project Browser, I cannot even make a project: when I try to change the location of the project file, or press the button to generate the project, an error appears:

For 5.4.3,
GPU Crashed or D3D Device Removed
Check log for GPU state information

and for 5.3.2 and 5.2.1,
GPU Crashed or D3D Device Removed
Use -d3ddebug to enable the D3D debug device.
Check log for GPU state information

After this, when I check the log, these appear:

For 5.4.3 and 5.3.2,

I tried turning off intel UHD graphics(which I turned back on, as it made my display look small…don’t know why), checking my graphic driver(which is the latest version), putting on TDR delay(TdrDelay and TdrDdiDelay), but they didn’t resolve my issue. What should I do?
P.S. I don’t know why, but the Intel Graphic is set as GPU 0, and the 4070 is set as GPU 1…might this be the issue??

Lastly, for my current hardware specs:
0. Computer: OMEN by HP Transcend Gaming Laptop 16-u0xxx

  1. CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-13700HX 2.10 GHz
  2. RAM: 32.0GB(29.7GB for actual use)
  3. Window: Windows 11 Home, version 23H2
  4. GPU 1: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU
    GPU memory: 22.9GB
    Dedicated GPU memory: 8.0GB
    Sharing GPU memory: 14.9GB
    Driver: 31.0.15.4683 by NVIDIA, 2024.03.12
  5. GPU 0: Intel(R) UHD Graphics

Have you tried reinstalling the GPU drivers or rolling back to the previous version?

Thank you for your reply!
For the graphic drivers, I have some issues about this as well.
So, my computer has two graphic drivers: one for intel UHD graphics, and one for NVIDIA 4070 Laptop GPU. Also, my computer maker, HP, had put OEM drivers for the two graphic drivers. I’ve found this out when I tried to update my intel graphic driver using Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA): when I searched for available update, it showed me the driver, but said if I update the driver using this, the OEM driver by HP might get deleted.
For the NVIDIA 4070 Laptop GPU, when I looked for the driver at the internet(Game Ready Driver version), it tells me the version is 560.70. However, when I go into the Display Adaptor and look for the driver version, it says 31.0.15: which looks like this is also an OEM driver by HP.
So, this is my question: Do I have to update the two drivers anyway, even though OEM drivers will get deleted? If this can fix the problem, I’ll definetely will, but I am not sure…

And for “rollinig back to the previous version”, do you mean by learning the UE by UE4 version? If that’s the case, I didn’t, but I am thinking of it as an final way, as I want to explore and learn about various COOL features of UE5…

This will always look different if you go into the display adapter settings. So you can’t rely on that to tell your current version (the installer will let you know)

As per your question, given UE5 will use the RTX 4070 and not the UHD graphics card you only need to update the RTX 4070.

“Rolling back” means to roll back to a previous version of your graphics card driver for this particular issue.
