I find it hard going between eevee and cycles because the lighting is completely different. This is what I came up with anyway.
Blender Cycles and Eevee and two completely different render solutions!
While Eevee is very fast and uses techniques used in game engines. It cut some corners in render output. You need to tweak to get better results, but at a cost of render times. Like shadows, reflection.
Blender Cycles tries to mimic light rays on a mathematical and physics based method. Which cost a lot of render power.
It is not about which version of the render end result you like best. The choice lies between;
- Do you need fast render times (as in Unity game engine).
- Or do you need more realistic end results (stills, faces, nature, etc. ).
Eeevee can be preferred, because the low render times. Can be handy when you do this course. For some lessons (before Eevee) I had render times in days (Cycles).
What I want to say is, don’t compare output just on switching between Cycles and Eevee. You need to tweak, configure your composition for every engine type.
That said, I like your project. Nice composition and playing with lights.
Thanks for your response. Creating a scene for a specific render type is great advice. I was trying to compromise in my model for both render types but ended up just looking mediocre in both.
