My Visual Studio looks different

Hi there, I’m taking the Unity 3d developer course and I downloaded visual studio for mac, but when i open the scripts we make in the classes, my version is different to what I’m seeing in the lesson videos. Specifically, the squiggly brackets are on different lines…Any help on how to proceed would be so appreciated!

Hi Jacqui,

Welcome to our community!

Generally, the code formatting is a matter of personal preference. If the formatting looks a bit different than Ben’s or Rick’s, that’s usually not a problem.

To have VS set the curly brackets in a new line, go to Tools > Options > Text Editor > C# > Code Style > Formatting > New Lines.

Did this help?
