Hey guys,
Finally finished the 3D course and decided to take a few days to expand on the Zombie Runner game. I decided to go a bit of a different route from the horror, zombie theme and went with something a little but more fast paced. I didn’t spend too much time on the level design, I used this mostly as a way to practice some of the things I learnt before moving onto the RPG course
Below is a list of things I’ve added:
- Reload system for all the guns
- Gun animations for each gun including reload, recoil, weapon switching and zoom
- Sound and music
- 3 different enemies with different behaviors (movement speed, attack speed, attack damage and health)
- Ability to set different zoom mouse sensitivity, zoom levels and zoomed in movement speed for each gun
- Automatic guns, continuous firing with mouse down (this is a toggle so each gun can be set to automatic separately)
- Zoom in on holding mouse down instead of a toggle (personal preference and I think it suits a faster game play more)
- Health pickup and health UI
- Main Menu system
- Pause system
I didn’t include the torch mechanic as I felt this didn’t suit the style I was aiming for.

There was so many more things I wanted to add but I think I have to stop somewhere, it’s time to continue my learning journey with the RPG course!
