My Understanding on Pyramid Ramp, Lecture 33, Time Stamp 08:07 l Blender 2.91

Hello Everybody How is it going ?
I would like to share to you about my understanding about the (extrude and pressing esc key) in lecture 33, time stamp 08:07

If i moved the edges without doing the extrusion the result would be like the image down below (so i pressed G and X and -1 on my keyboard)

and if i moved the edges with doing extrusion first, the result would be like this

without doing extrusion all the edges are stretching inwards

Just a heads up, I think your pyramid base is still too thick.
