I kinda… sorta… might have zoned out re-listening to the lesson while I was playing around with extruding and subdividing on the little room. I didn’t have the heart to just toss out what I did without sharing it

That is gorgeous! Don’t toss it! When you learn about baking, you can use displacement on a simpler model to make it look like that 
I think… I seem to recall that’s how displacement works… someone with better knowledge of the process might say differently <.<’
