I was just about to mention the darkness of the render as well. @FedPete has a good idea of adding a campfire.

This scene is meant to be a moonlight scene of a ritual site of some sort, so instead of adding a campfire I decided to try to improve the lighting in order to create a better moonlight scene. I also wanted to add the moon itself, because I think it should be there. So here is the result:
