I was thinking of making it about Murray, the evil but likable Skull from Monkey Island. The theme is that he accidently wound up in the voodoo lady’s hut, got exposed to some sort of magical voodoo dust and now can fly. The levels are basically monkey island themed levels, maybe LeChuck’s ship, the islands from the games etc.
I think it can be a good practice project since I can basically steal the backgrounds and music from the original game, but I am sort of hesitating since I might not want a “completed theme” for my practice project. Another theme might get to me later.
