My Shoot Hoop progress with HTC Vive

Got so far into Shoot Hoop, moved on to Squashy Toad, then came back to apply what I’d learned so far including some modern twists and tweaks:

  • Vive wand controller hands
  • Launch ball from hand
  • New Unity ProBuilder torus hoop and seats (since Unity absorbed ProCore today, this is now free instead of $150)
  • Resolved multi-ball concurrent scores in the same hoop by moving the score detection from the triggers/hoop and onto the ball instead.

Still need to work on a lot of things, better hands, better ball physics, any sounds, etc.

I’d also like to add force to the ball throw relative to the speed of my hand/controller (transfer of velocity/forces perhaps).
